If gay means happy, then the last Sunday of June is the happiest day in Mexico city as in many other cities worldwide.
In Mexico City, the Gay Pride parade goes down the Reforma avenue where everything happens. That Sunday I woke up late so I called a friend to meet him and his pals and of course, we could not talk! In Reforma the party was loud and strong and although we were shouting it was impossible to understand anything. However I felt my friend so happy and excited that I got excited too. From one perspective la marcha, as they say, is like any other ride: people bring kids, dogs, skates and bicycles. The difference is that this one has more colors. All the colors of the rainbow.
